With this program we provided each farmers with a With this program we provided each farmer with a nutrition package containing HEPS, a high-energy protein supplement made of pre-cooked maize, soya flour, sugar, vitamins, and minerals. It can be prepared as porridge by simply adding boiled water, helping diversify their diet. Cooking oil was also included to support balanced meal preparation and improve daily nutrition.
We also included soap, often difficult to afford, and a bin for collecting clean water, crucial in rural areas where farmers fetch water from wells and need a safe way to store it.
Lastly, an agri-coupon supports them in purchasing seeds and fertilizers for the next farming season.
Daily life essentials
Received by the 5 schools of the community, the solar battery kit provides reliable, renewable energy, ensuring that classrooms and community spaces remain lit for up to 28 hours. In addition to powering lights, the kit allows users to charge mobile phones.
